Googland

January 30th, 2007 by elias.kai

Inside Google
Why would Niniane jump between 3D and Google Desktop ?

It can be a social space where users can create their own 3D representative using sketchup, or any sensors that can represent your real profile and you can add it or travel to any geographical area , anytime you want and meet or interact with others.

You can begin meeting people using orkut than gmail and when you are face to face pickup Gtalk and see or talk to them.

In this world, Advertising of course is allowed and Google can manage to distribute the bidding in accordance with population existence.

Hey, you can even pay cash and see your physical transaction using Google CheckOut, play poker, visit casinos, watch movies and get to Manchest United game or Los Angeles Lakers, pay and view others (from same community) watching the live Poker Games.

This can be called Googland, and after this you can go for 5000 usd to the GooglMoon using the latest Nasa Google product.

A complete scenario is going on at Google blogoscoped

JOOST ? Free TV

January 16th, 2007 by elias.kai

What the heck ? Why are these people changing names so often.

First, the co-founders for Skype. Kazaa, Zennström and Friis, have launched The Venice Project and now they are changing the name to something else as free TV by the the name of JOOST.

Why would they name it JOOST ?
Since the company headquarter or developers departments is based in Amesterdam, The Netherlands, then it is logical to name it Joost referring to Joost Van Den Vondell who was a German Dutch writer and playwright that converted to Catholicisms in 1641. Joost was an unpopular figure around the Calvinist circles.

Back to JOOST TV, I have personally been invited to test The Venice Project and I can tell as from any user experience, I felt attached to the quality and the broadcast experience much more than the content.

One additional factors is missing will be the viral marketing by affording other social medium to get connected to JOOST as SecondLife or Project Entropia.

But, when are we going to watch the Football World Cup on JOOST ? no one can tell.

Joost needs more trust connection factor to the mass and not only to broadband connected users.

Will we be able to watch JOOST on Mobile phone or on Digital Giant TVs ?
