Stop the War by Samar Kai
Are we doomed to live in war? by Samar KAI
Is it written in the “Book of the World that each generation in Lebanon shall experience war?!
We have read in history books about the wars that our beloved Lebanon has passed through. When we were children, we learned in our schools how great our country is, we've read about its culture and civilization, history and great men who raised its name worldwide. We became ultimately proud to be Lebanese. We are part of a country that our ancestors struggled to make it what it is now. Our parents lived in war…they spoke to us about it, about the blood of blameless people that was worn out, about the sorrow that people lived in, about feelings of panic and resentment that encountered them. They witnessed their country being shattered by men who didn't value our treasured Lebanon. They have been fighting and then fighting again all over to save their land, their sea…their home. They've trespassed all obstacles that stood in their way to become what they are…
They are the summit of the cedars
They are the peak of the mountains
They are the twinkle of diamonds
They are the rising hope
They are the crown of the country
They are the core of Lebanon
But why on Earth are we supposed to stay in a struggle to be alive?!
We are losing our country
We are losing the lives of guiltless children
We are losing the arrogance of mothers
We are losing the strength of warriors of freedom…
And no one is willing to do anything about it…
Not any country has shown its courage and taken the initiative to help us stop the war
They're just tossing words.
Children's souls and tears of mothers and fathers are yelling to the world, to the whole world:
STOP THE WAR! STOP THE WAR!
We have the right to live…
