Google vs Facebook

This would be a series of articles to demonstrate some Duopole strategies between the 2 biggest online destinations Facebook and Google:

Scenario 1: Facebook might move to Google main core and that is the SEARCH
Scenario 2: Google might move to Social Networking for its user base knocking down Facebook.

Would this happen? If so, which scenario would you vote for?
When do you think that might happen?

According to comScore users spent 33.9 billion minutes on Facebook compared to 41.6 billion minutes on Google, comScore got another report on November for the US, its estimates that users spent 8 billion minutes on Facebook compared to Google’s 8.5 billion minutes, that’s pretty close! The US gap between Google and Facebook is getting closer. Google relied mostly on its core technology – online search to get traffic while at Facebook it’s about platform and applications.

Always remember, the highest online trust factor would push S1 towards S2.

It is funny to write an academic papers for these strategies reminding me of year 2000 when we proposed our strategies to Boeing Vs Airbus at Dauphine CREPA.
