Price War on Mobile Internet

by elias.kai on July 4, 2007

With Tele2′s new campaign offer that applies for one year, the price on mobile internet with 3G is being continuously decreased.
Three years ago, Tre used to charge 250 SEK for 50 MB, therefore 5000 sek per gigabyte which is 50 times more than the time being.
The so called flat rate – fixed price for unlimited traffic – has to entirely recently costed about 500 sek in the month.
Tele2′s decisions to introduce free traffic for 99 sek/month is therefore an important stage in the pricing on 3G, although three ceilings on one Gigabyte in practice is quite generous for normal usage.
For turbo-3G, or HSDPA that give between 5 and 10 times faster surfing than common 3G where it iexpanded, Tre charges today 199 sek/month for free surf.
This campaign offer also applies for one a year.

General price is 399 sek/month.
